Our Team

ANDRES VILLAQUIRAN

has more that fifteen years of experience in the field of mathematics finance. His studies include undergraduate degrees from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Economics, Mechanical Engineering, and Management Science. His graduate  work includes a Master’s in Financial Engineering from New York University, a  Master's in Financial Mathematics from Stanford University, and PhD studies in Statistics at Stanford University. Andres has also been a guest professor at the Universidad de los Andes in Colombia, in the Department of Mathematics as well as the Business School. In terms of his professional experience, Andres worked for several years in New York at JP Morgan and Credit Suisse, managing derivatives portfolios in equities, foreign exchange, and fixed income. Since leaving New York, he has consulted for several companies in Europe, the US, and Latin America.

FABIO ROBAYO

is a mathematics major from the Universidad de Los Andes. His area of expertise is the application of mathematical models for the valuation of financial instruments. In his thesis, Fabio developed a proposal of variations on the stochastic mesh method for pricing high-dimensional derivatives. He has applied his knowledge and expertise to the efficient development of complex models with important added value for our clients.

VIVIANA SAAIBI

is an industrial engineer from the Universidad de los Andes, where she focused her studies in finance and statistics. Before working for RMI, she worked at a trading desk in a Colombian financial institution, where she managed the foreign currency portfolio. There, she learned about the Colombian capital markets and asset and liability management.

MAURICIO BELLO

Is a civil and industrial engineer from the Universidad de los Andes. He has focused his studies in the areas of finance and operations research. Before joining the RMI team, Mauricio worked in the development of software for the analysis of derivative instruments.
